How far are we willing to ship oil?

I am not sure how you are willing to argue for more oil exports globally, more pipelines east and south and support more tanker traffic so oil can be delivered to where it is needed yet at the same argue against movement of electricity from where is can be produced cheaply to where it is needed. Perhaps you do not realize Canada currently exports to the US 9% of the electricity generated. There are now 34 cross border high voltage transmission lines moving power to and from Canada and the US depending on where it is generated and where needed. The grid is already connected across North America. Energy does not need to be generated in your back yard now.

      Correct.

From Reuters about Germany, where this is supposedly a mature industry, able to stand on its own:
Once they became law, Haas benefited from the subsidies, known as feed-in tariffs, for selling renewable energy to the grid at about 50 cents per kilowatt hour.

Without them, he faces earning no more than the wholesale power price of around of 2-4 cents.

Protecting the environment was central, Haas said, and he hoped to continue operating his micro generation but it may cease to be economic if at any stage he faces a major repair bill.

“In that case the financial burden would become too great, meaning that in the current regulatory framework continuing to operate it likely won’t pay off,” he said.

Like other asset owners, he would have to decide whether to sell, upgrade or dismantle his generation capacity should Berlin fail to create a regulatory environment that makes it economic.

Were you aware of Altalink's Western Alberta Transmission Line a few years ago? Among countless others? The opposition, the delays, the studies after studies, the NIMBY's don't want any progress, of any type. They are organizing against wind farms, and solar farms too.

Just for reference on life expectancies....

Never made 1/2 of the life...

A photo with no source and reference is evidence of the lifespan and ecological foot print of wind mills? LOL Surely you can provide better evidence than this? Maybe not??

Furrow do you make decisions on your farm from looking at a picture book? LOL

On second thought maybe you do????

Still doesn't explain why you think one unsourced photo "which may be a photo shopped photo" tells the whole story about the lifespan and ecological foot print of all windmills!

Its like asking a contractor to build a bridge from a photo instead of using engineered plans with all the specifications! Not a good idea!

But maybe you think a photo is good enough? hahahaah

How’s the yearly solar output in places like Sweden , Norway , Finland and or Russia??
Or you going to continue to show meaningless info from Australia??

                          Argue with them.

In April 2020, Bloomberg New Energy Finance found "Solar PV and onshore wind are now the cheapest sources of new-build generation for at least two-thirds of the global population. Those two-thirds live in locations that comprise 71% of gross domestic product and 85% of energy generation. Battery storage is now the cheapest new-build technology for peaking purposes (up to two-hours of discharge duration) in gas-importing regions, like Europe, China or Japan."

With my own agronomy and good will we are donating this 25 ac corn plot to the Caves . The good friends of ours that lost their son tragically this spring that played for the Edmonton Oilers .
Should average 17-18 tn / ac and give them and extra 350 tn plus for their cattle herd .
What you do today ? Colour with crayons 🖍 in your old CWB scrapbook?
Oh and we have one crew doing swathed canola and one finishing the standing canola .
                              Safe harvesting to all .....
