Makes me think if Trump were to lose which I don’t think will happen, media needs sensation so maybe focus would shift to our own govt crookedness. I was told of someone who was working for CTV and left the business completely cause they were focused on sensationalism not the actual news.

Please do all you TDS people , I want to see this proved wrong . My guess no one can
I am not sure what you want someone to dispute. If you are talking salary, that is disputable seeing as the base salary for the PM of Canada is $175,000 and with sessional top ups Trudeau makes $351,000/year, not 400,000 Jazz claims.

Or given your TDS addition to you comment, are you asking someone to dispute Jazz's insinuation that Trump is giving more than he is getting? That is easy to dispute seeing as his personal Trump foundations has been fined numerous times for his use of foundation funds for personal use. Worst case was 2.8 million collected in a fund raiser for vets was funneled into his campaign and he was found guilty in court of misuse of the foundation funds. Not only was a 2 million fine imposed but the foundation was ordered to be closed and his entire family has to taking training to learn charity rules.

And while he may not be earning a salary from the public purse, how about his insistence secret service and other staff say in hotels he owns and pays inflated rates for rooms food and services thereby enriching himself well beyond what his salary would cost the public?

Off the top of my head, I can think of the Trump University fiasco which resulted in 25 million in fines, of the fines imposed by the NY gaming for breaking casino and stock ownership rules, of failures to pay workers and the list of corruption goes on

So if you are comparing Trudeau to Trump, one is not good and one bad; they are both bending the rules and benefiting personally from office. The sad part is your thinking that it is only a Trudeau problem. The graft in politics runs much deeper than one person and will not be corrected by the WE controversy or a resignation by Trudeau as proved by Trump being repeatedly found guilty in court and fined, yet still carries a similar percentage of support as does Trudeau.

No, it is a political problem, no matter left or right. Trump is R, a supposedly right wing party. The Conservatives have had their share of scandals too. Adscam, Airbus affair, Duffy, Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Adscam? That was the liberals. Duffy, money was paid back, Duffy shunned by cons, Nigel Wright steps aside. Airbus affair. Too little too late. This is the here and now.

It IS MOST CERTAINLY A LIBERAL PROBLEM. Do get up to speed... no government prior, including the crooked Chrétien and his cohorts, even comes close to this one. Like, not even the same planet close.

A for trump, last time I checked he was not running in Canada, nor holding our purse strings, stealing our money and giving it to dubious causes.

The scariest thing? This is just the tip of the iceberg, what is there we do not even know yet? My guess is a bloody LOT.

Canadian taxpayer funds, you forgot to ask.

But, but Harper, and but, but the 1980’s, and but , but trump, well, that is getting old. This is the here and now.

Had Harper done this, I most certainly would have not continued supporting him. The frightening thing is, in spite of the firing when he suddenly wasn’t a drama teacher, the Kokanee grope, the Norman affair, Lavscam, Ava khan, India trip, and on and on it goes, there are ppl that actually defend this clown and his band of merry men, and lots of them. It is just unreal.
