    Tires

They all seem like garbage these day.
GoodYear- absolute junk since 2003(acquired by titan)
Michelin - turned junk around 2013-15??
Firestone- once great quality, now junk in 2020

    What is happening?
Is this simply a cheap synthetic over quality rubber issue?

Is this a strategic move by manufacturers to increase tire sales through turnover or a forced move due to global demand/cost for rubber?

Has Anyone researched the tire industry to figure out what the hell is going on?

I was happy spending 30% more for Firestone’s over Goodyear, but now???

If a quality Tire Company is losing sales to cheap offshore junk what choice do they have but to dumb down their quality to the cheap competition's lowest common denominator to be competitive. Might be an unintended race to the bottom.

Who subscribes to the idea of replacing tires(almost) twice as often when buying low quality cheap tires versus expensive quality tires.

Did "competition" work too good and now almost everything is junk?

Haven't seen any real issues with Firestone and Michelin.

Lots of Chinese brands out there if you need more bang for your buck. Just don't be surprised if the bang comes when you go to air them up.

Just happy that can still source some decent tires still, because delivery times and inventory has been completely ****ed up by the current shitshow.
