We are now at 7-8 years here now for peasOriginally posted by jazz View PostJust under 3inch total precip here for the season. Not real warm, coolish nights. Going to forego fungicide this year.
I am seeing some guys with lentils on a shorter rotation having some issues now even though it hasnt been very wet. These are going to have to go min 4 yr rotation in the future probably, maybe more. We are on 3yr.

Root rot .... is what it is .Originally posted by bucket View PostWhat's that about? You don't want part of the 0.03 bpa demand created by the 113 million dollars in the protein industry?
Furrow .....really?
Sarcasm ....you guys get it....right?
Onto other crops now , not really concerned anymore about dealing with it.

Don’t feel put out. SF3’s stuff makes me feel like a poor farmer. Clay and hills I farm looks sketchy in a good year. Have some level ground so I can take the kids out and throw them in there for brag pictures.Originally posted by farmaholic View PostYou don't see canola like that in the Slum of the Ghetto. Especially the variety and herbicide system we're growing.
Sloooooooooow and darker yellow flowers....not the vigorous plants with the vibrant yellow flowers of the other two systems. But I hope to make it up on price on a respectable yield for what it is. Really hard looking at some.of the pics posted and comparing them to our "overall" crop.....but if I look hard enough I'm sure I could find a plant or area that could compete.....until then I'll accept what's here and keep my expectations low.
