Did anyone hear the word agriculture in the debates...

Just wondering since western canada is the stronghold for the conservative party.

Sort of highlights how little they care about the fact farmers are helping kickstart the economy...

I guess the first question should be ...did anyone watch?

Mckay is young semi progressive but sill conservative with a young family and immigrant wife and he is from the Maritimes where seats will have to flip. What else could you ask for. Only guy who has a hope of keeping Trudeau to a minority again.

I watched it. McKay exceeded my expectations. Full of confidence and energy. Go on Liberal sites and they are hoping OTool wins so they can brand him 'Angry Harper with a Smile'. Those same Liberal twits are scared of McKay because he actually has a real shot at a Majority.

Also McKay gave straight answers in the media scrum afterwards and didn't skirt around the hard questions, which was really refreshing to see. OTool really fumbled when they pressed him.

If one in eight jobs in this country are agriculture related shouldn't one question in any major debate be about agriculture or at least an brief discussion or mention...

This leadership camapign has been a dud. Partly its the covid crisis but also it is the candidates.

The Cons didn't learn anything from their last election results.

None of the candidates are trying to expand their base. They are still stuck playing to the base. Preaching to the choir.

This should guarantee them second place again unless something big happens.

macdon, that fight has changed. Its gone from trying to get a pipeline to tidewater to saving our oil industry from permanent destruction. The west will never try that again.

Mckay wants the carbon tax gone and isn't going to kill that industry dead with regulation. That's an huge improvement from what we have now.

These promises about the oil and gas industry....have you looked at the price of gas lately...

Oil isn't as high as it was in the 70s so why the buck a litre bullshit....

Might be a little off today,,,,my cash back at the local coop was 2.25 percent on fuel....someone is making good money in the oil and gas / refining industries....

I respect your opinion there but , the liberal party lead by JT is the farthest thing from straight and narrow ( SNC Lavalin , Panama Papers and on and on and on ) and now forcing purely agenda driven political grandstanding .
We have a mess on our hands as bad or worse than our neighbours to the south politically .
Most Canadians are hopefully waking up to this fact now .
