Very little agriculture talk in parliament on Saturday....

Very disappointing that there wasn't more talk of fixing BRM throughout this pandemic aid package.

Conservatives could have went to bat for farmers throughout this and got some fixes to the current shitshow they helped create...

They are more than happy to talk about energy companies problems while not addressing the 79.9 cent a litre gas prices with oil hovering at 10 bucks a barrel in Western Canada....someone in the sector is making good money....

    more later...

    Coop is doing great.

Yea we mean nothing to Canadians, once you figure that out it's all easy to understand.

Watch Trudeau will give the processors help next week as they are stressed and tired.

Agreed, I think the ag money will go to rich farmers grandpa s money and corporate backed who don’t need it to take over guys with crop in the field multiple drought or flood years.
The rest will go to the processors rail lines it’s all somehow connected to ag
Nothing what so ever to help farm families like every other industry is getting.

So on March 25 Finance Minister Mourneau said help for Canada's oil and gas sector is "hours, possibly days" away and nothing has been announced yet and you actually expect them to actually think about farmers? You truly are an optomist lol!

Early the yr read a write up on farm finances in the back of one of those free magazines that show up in the mail. Maybe something from Angus or Cattleman.

Anyway to sum it up guy from MNP who wrote it says don't expect any new cash from the Liberals as they see ag as an untapped source of new tax money as overall we have a huge amount of equity that is untaxed. I think the number he used was $1-$1.5 Trillion.

Agstab was an audit that we willingly provided.

As always I think the less we hear from the Liberals the better off we will be.

Some of you seem to have forgotten it was Harper and Ritz who made cuts the big cuts to Ag Stability and Ag Invest before Trudeau got in.

Are Moe, Kenney and Palliser screaming their head off for more support for Ag?

Behind the scenes they don't want to fund enhanced programs that require Provincial and Federal agreement and more tax payer funding.

It didn't say anything about the original cuts only that the Cons are missing in action when it comes to ag. Get your story straight.

Nobody forgot anything, but if there was going to be an improvement coming from the Liberals, five years should be plenty of time.

Did the Cons run on improving support for AG in the last election? Nope. Then why would the Liberals think it is important?

Scheer got in on support for supply management. The priority with the Conservatives is politics and western ag doesn't matter because most western farmers vote Conservative no matter what.
