    First crow

    Just saw an early arrival.
Had to take second look that it was not a raven.
Recent years have seen influx of ravens.
Never used to see them in summer, now common.

Hawks back here. Piles of both bald and golden eagles passing through.

Geese are thinking about retreating back south I think... they're dragging their ass on ice!

Ducks have always stayed year round in the cooling ponds for the power plant here. The geese started doing the same about 5 years ago and now the swans have started as well. See them every day going to feed cows. Lots of ravens too but no crows ........... yet.

We've had a crow most of the winter. It seemed to be shadowing the ravens. Also, we've had a robin in the yard quite a bit through Feb.
