From the Globe on Teck: Several Liberal ministers worked behind the scenes earlier this year against Teck Resources Ltd.’s proposed oil sands mine in Alberta, according to Liberal and government sources.

Skippy and Butts sabotaged another project.

Our Ag Minister was prioritizing her time to rally against Teck Resources with other Liberal MP’s!!!
She is also now saying the carbon tax didn’t add any significant costs for prairie farmers.

Kenney is now considering a State owned oil company to develop the tar sands. I thought conservative governments weren't supposed to pick winners or losers? So who is the socialist now?

Maybe if Alberta had a put away some of their resource revenue during the boom instead of spending it all on core services they wouldn't be in such a mess?

If they had a provincial tax system like the current Saskatchewan "socialists" they would have a $14 billion dollar surplus.

Imagine if they had a royalty system that treated oil as though they owned it instead of having some of the lowest royalties in the world. They could have had a very nice rainy day fund. But planning for and accepting the inevitable rise and fall of the commodity prices has never been Alberta's strong point.
