Your reclamation company will have a very long accounts receivable.

Federal govt. they siphoned off 600b in equalization. They can pay for the cleanup. Just like they are paying for muskrat falls.

I don't know where this is ...but there have been shows about the reclamation work done in the oilsands back to its natural state or close to it...

Watching Gold Rush they take a few minutes to show their reclamation efforts...can't imagine why they wouldn't do the same for the oilseeds...

Now as far as abandoned oil wells and Brad Wall's ideas....that's just stupid...

Fifty years of oilsands equals only 0.1% of land reclaimed This is pathetic.

Since 1967, of the 940 sq km disturbed by the oilsands industry, industry reports that only 60 sq km (7 per cent) have been permanently reclaimed (See Figure 1). Of this small portion, only one sq km (or 0.1 per cent of overall oilsands mining development) has been reclaimed and returned to the province

The oil sands already is the biggest cleanup operation in human history. Mother nature deposited those bitumens right into the formations extending into the nearby river beds. You can go stand in the river and get your feet blackened by bitumen. Why not ask her when she is cleaning it up?

Better question is, when the world transitions to a real next gen fuel, hydrogen, and its being extracted from oil fields, will they share those riches with namby pamby SJWs who hated on it? I sure as hell hope not.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/alberta-hydrogen-innovation-1.5290297 Why engineers in Alberta think they've found a way for the oilsands to produce clean fuel

In testing, the team said this technique can draw up huge quantities of hydrogen while leaving the carbon in the ground. In industrial production, it’s estimated that using existing infrastructure the method can produce hydrogen at between 10c and 50c per kilo. By comparison, current hydrogen production costs put it closer to $2 per kilo, with 5pc of the gas being used to power the oxygen production plant.
Taking its native Canada as an example, the team said this method could supply the nation’s electricity needs for 330 years.

Now you know the real reason Trudeau is trying to shut down the oil sands. It can put all the hydro out of business in Canada including beloved Quebec.
