    Agreed

And they remove the carbon in tree form and turn it into a useful product vs letting it rot or burn in the bush. My cousins run a sawmill and plant millions of trees every year on a mix of private and public land. Third generation now running it and they take care of the land no different than we do. They have a great life with ups and downs just like all of us.

It is ...the math is done on Trudeau's promise of one billion trees ...3-5 million tonnes of carbon sequestering per year...

New growth would do the same for 10s of billions of trees already there...

Sadly the environmentalists go with Trudeau's idea instead....

How wrong you are. Landowners are subject to all the zoning and bylaws that local governments enforce. Provincial and federal governments all have laws that prevent And restrict certain types of activities on your land. Ownership does not give you unlimited control.

And mineral holders have the regulated right to access their minerals whether you and I like it or not. So ownership offers some some control but you are not allowed to do what ever you like!

Agree, have said many times all our trees/crops/lakes make us the world's carbon sink, only twisted climate goof balls can't see or admit it!!! SHAME on "you people"!

Its never about the science or math with climate whackos. If calculated properly you will find that Canada sequesters emssions on behalf of china and india and others. We are already in a carbon deficit. Just our trees, farmland and freshwater takes care of all the emissions Canada will ever release.

But thats just an inconvienent truth because its not about that. its about wealth transfer first world to 3rd world. Cant do it by direct transfer anyore and globalization is waning, so the last resort is the tool of Marxists, drag someone else down to your level. We restrict our progress so someone else can climb up the ladder. They call it crab mentality.
