I think good quality will increase. Our dollar will be there excuse you not go to far but look around some wheat areas have issues.

Been increasing in price at a slow pace.

Will the increase be from international supply issues?
Or from less farmer selling on the prairies?

From low supply of good quality wheat .
Very little good wheat was taken off before weather issues across the entire prairies

Lots of quality issues in a huge area .

Next few months sideways/slightly weaker for all qualities. Good quality like your 2-15 could fetch some specials. 26 week trend has stabilized indicating that we won't see prices go down too far.
MW Futures may lose another 20 cents CAD after failing to push to 5.75 in the July
Don't see basis improving till loading conditions at Vancouver straighten out

Wheat off combine was a good $1-$1.50 less depending which elevator. So thats one positive.

Shop high protein around. #2, 15.0 pro woulda been $7.50 at one elevator last week, $6.85 at another. Low protein same thing shop around, they all have different protein spreads and seem to change weekly.

I need some nice Red Spring for cooking with poppyseed. Case, how much will it cost me to get two cups delivered to Regina before midnight tonight? 😂 What kind of farmers don’t grow any plain ordinary wheat? 😂

It appears a large portion of the prairie HRS wheat crop is marketed at $5-$6 due to dampness, low FN, low protein, sprouting.

Protein discounts seem to really vary between grain buyers. Viterra appears to be making a large margin this year.

The other wheat we have is 235 Fn .07 ss but if it would grade a #2 the protien at 17 would be a $2.10 premium at RP

As of Jan 5 40 ships in port on west coast.
Last week 5 were cleared, 10 arrived, 12 expected by the 12th.

10 day precipitation totals are going down but a significant amount is expected to be snow

Is your protein typically this high? We have never seen 14

no, this was seeded into dried out alfalfa(4 years) ground , then real dry until july .(only yielded 39)
but we get a lot of 14-14.5 with hughes and was the same with titanium
one other quarter is 15 px just seeded on pea ground , double shot 80 lbs act N while seeding
one other was 13.5 px same fert
