The above are just screenshots of CBOT July wheat, MGEX July wheat, ICE July Canola, CBOT July Soy Oil, CBOT July Soy Bean.

Maybe some one quick with good tech can put something together to discuss.
I always though markets kinda slumped or went to sleep over the Holiday season.

      Well the computers never sleep.

The market cant be any more dead than has been this fall. Something has to react.

It seems to be a little reaction in the later months of canola. Almost $0.75 a bushel spread between January and July prices at the local elevator this morning.

Markets and market players always try to force out the weak hands. Thats why it was probably sidways this fall. Lots had to sell and move it.

I have almost always been rewarded by holding over the winter. It can be more risky though. I am jockeyng some tough canola that will have to go soon. Should have left it in the swath.

                I hear that a lot ...

along with the line " I wish it wouldn't have rained in Late June" because it set the crop back so far and there wasn't enough heat to finish....

That and the world doesn't want our grain unless its considered feed price...pricing against the FSU,,, who have invested in public infrastructure to make agriculture a win for their economy....is getting harder for Western Canadian primary producers....

The farmers here have invested heavily in things that in other countries the burden is shared by government and industry....

Apparently it's China. Don't hold your breath.

If you’re willing to wait until May-July to sell it has been a lot of years.

Maybe the buyers are running out of very willing sellers to steal wheat from?
