Canadians are not being discriminatory when we demand all and any Govts to refuse immigrants’ entry if they have not obeyed our border-laws.

Nor are we discriminatory when we set out standards profiling the type of immigrants we need, and want. Our country. Our choice.

Kenney out courting the immigrant vote and promising to allow lots of immigrants into Canada.
And I disaprove. Entry-standards should be based upon the skills and education of the immigrants as well as what kind of needs we are trying to fill. For example, nuclear research scientists, etc

Vancouver developers marketing condos in Hong Kong

You have to paste that headline to your browser.

" There are approximately 320,000 Hong Kong residents who already hold a Canadian passport, and Chmiel said that’s the group that is focused on Vancouver real estate.

As Canadian citizens, they would not be subject to B.C.’s 20 per cent foreign-homebuyer tax, he noted.

Real estate agents in West Vancouver, Vancouver and Richmond have reported increased inquiries from Hong Kong residents recently, but there is scant hard data.

Ken Tin Lok Wong, a Richmond-based immigration consultant, said that “a mass exodus of full-on Canadian citizens from Hong Kong to Canada is unlikely” because people have to choose between making more money in Hong Kong or living in a stable place like Canada but with less pay and higher taxes, he told the Richmond News."

If we "want" those people buying houses and filling classrooms with kids it's going to be Filipino's and maybe a few Sikh's.

Don't think we can use to many nuclear scientists here, but some locals do still work in the uranium mines.

Have also noticed more South African farmers. Aylsham and Naicam?

They say the weather sucks but politics is better.

The Conservative party of Canada is working hard to keep the racists and bigots within the party quiet. Otherwise they will never win another election in Canada!

Andrew Scheer, Ford, Kenney and Moe are all strong supporters of immigration.
