    Fleurs-de-lis gets it done

Quebec farmers know how to get things done as a unified group. Western Canadian grain farmers should take a page out of their play book and learn to work as one.

They brought the CNR strike to the streets of Montreal, while Agriviller's were busy bashing Quebec on any topic they could think of.

Thank you Stormanormam, you and your fellow provincial farmers got the job done and brought the issue front and center.

Nobody can prove it, but I am guessing Turdo 2 called one or both and paid/threatened them and voila!
It's who you know, a friend in the highest place. We have no friends with power, actually farmers are not on ANY politicians radar till they TAX you.

Obviously some fed cash into the deal. Things dont settle that fast.

Still going to take while before the regular propane arrives. I am sure every car will be propane for the next month. Canola and wheat, sorry you are asking for more than we can give right now.

We could have dumped canola on ralphs doorstep any time. That's not how we do things out here. In my books, that's weakness not solidarity. If we cant convince reasonable people of the importance of a sector of the economy then crying and stomping your feet shouldn't be the next option. Hardly dignified.

But instead of protesting item by item, a referendum on equalization which affects us all would be the hammer to hold over their head.

We could,”gift” Ritz and Harper too for how they sank farm programs, Indian Head, dropped the ball on Wheat Board dissolution. Don’t want to dump good Canola, anyone got a bin of heated a few years old? It’s a gift after all.

Yes they know how to get attention but how far are most of the farmers away from the steps?

For us out in the hinterland you would have to drive for days to get there. Remember Ned? I think it took him most of the winter to drive his combine out there. By the time he got there most people forgot why we went! Out of site so Out of mind.

Wouldn't have mattered what we did out west.

Les agriculturs Quebecois on the other hand had a direct line to Minister BoBo. She was grinning into the TV last night saying she'd get to the bottom of it and sure enough she did. It just depends who you know.

I wonder what the rubber stamped freight increase will be....CTA won't put performance standards on the increase....

Meanwhile farmers are expected to grow more while expecting less.

Criminal abuse of primary producers. No wheat, empty loaf bag, NO barley empty can, No animals, shrink wrapped AIR. And still society does NOT value who starts it all.

The strike must have been affecting dairy farmers in Bobo’s riding.

Western Canada is just collateral damage in these disputes.

Garneau was on TV this afternoon explaining how the end of the strike would let corn start moving out of western Canada. You couldn't make this shit up if you tried. The whole ****ing works of them are clueless.

You bet yesterday a reporter said farmers can't combine because elevators can't ship?
