cause they farm just an hour from the PMs office and have a history of whining instead of self reliance.

I am voting liberal next time. Hope Ralph isn't mad and comes back

Jazz is half right just left out the part where we are all greedy bastards trying to get ahead of our neighbors instead of being content with our situation. Too busy trying to farm it all.

How better to get farmers to produce?
Profit motive has proved best as China and Russia have found.
For better or worse, world has moved away from way of life farming
Increased urbanisation is here, hard to turn back the clock.

While profit is a motivator in those countries. ...the leadership have found investing in agriculture infrastructure is a economic benefit to the country....

          Here not so much...

A country in the FSU is building a flax processing plant....we lost/handed the European flax market to Khakistan. ..

And our checkoff dollars from flax goes to put Stokke on other farm groups that are just as incompetent. ...

Yesterday the grain growers of Canada cancelled their press conference when the CN rail strike was over because they couldn't use the oportunity to highlight other issues in agriculture....one trick pony...

Can't think on their feet or have a wide angle view to tie all the issues to the required main issue....
It's all about lack of money on the farm...why...

          1. Dry seeding with poor germination
          2. Caused a late harvest
          3. CN strike will take weeks to straighten out into....
          4. Winter slowdown
          5. Spring harvest
          6. Late 2020 seeding for some.

Quebec farmers weren't protesting not being able to move grain they were protesting not being able to buy propane. Western farmers don't get any necessities this time of year railed in.

Even the elevators went as loud as farmers guess they did okay. Did elevators ever plug up? I haven't seen handling stats yet they will be out next week.

Never herd any other industry talk about being short of supplies because of strike, Don't all those C cans etc need to make it somewhere on time to supply other industries?

Some of the more important goods would have been moving on CN lines....

Grain and anything related to farmers is non essential and can wait unless you are in Quebec....
