That heat must be tiring Mallee. Does the air conditioner ever stop? One thing is for sure - our air is refreshing and we have one big walk-out freezer available for months and months.

We were very dry this year as well. My barley didn't make 40.

Barley dust and 44 degrees, time slows down.

We aren't in the highest production area. 65 is likely an average crop for us.

We have our own slum of the ghetto.

                Gawdammit how refreshing.
A discussion about farming, comparing notes from different regions.
                Keep up the good work.

My lifetime barley range would be between 40 and 90 bu/ac. Malt last few years so less than the high.
I can see why you quit if it's 44°.
Don't know why you don't have more fires.
I quit barley all together this year.
Seems to be an age related trend here.

Five more crops and I can spend a season looking at crops somewhere else in the world. Maybe run a combine in Oz.

You got close today. 😉I want you to try again tomorrow. Only were calling for +8 so this was nice. My buddy is out combining the last of his wheat and we just put the last of the grain in the wet bin today which feels fantastic.

Good luck down under. No grain dryer required at your place obviously.
