Your wheat market ain’t as crazy as ours

Lower protein wheat ASW Australian standard white trading 10.5% and below no lower limit at $37 premium to APW Australian premium white which is 10.5 to 11.5% protein. So I’m better calling my good wheat shit wheat and taking the premium

My jargon might get you guys at times.
High grade feed wheat/low grade milling wheat is at a $37 premium to standard milling wheat weird to say the least

Bar1 is feed barley and discounts for screenings low test weight think about 6 bucks per tonne bar1 bar2 bar3

    Clear as mud?

Hauling to a reputable feed mill/livestock feeder has often paid a premium over the years

Dry feed wheat is selling at a premium to lower protein Hard red spring here as well. Goes to show that export customers have no money. The shift to feed grain production will lower feed prices to correct this.

            Agreed it’s quite a game.
Buy based on falling number for milling or feed.

How do we price it for the damage that we allow in each grade? Have a sliding price scale for each factor or lump all factors into one and deduct $ on total damage like the USA?

There is only one end use for Malt barley, yes a few diff specs within selections, but hundreds of end uses for wheat and each end use requires different qualities and end users won't pay for qualities that don't suit them.

Possibly main driver here is China.

They need beef and mutton due to lack of pork , feed lots need wheat and barley to feed .

Plus hog returns have maybe doubled since start of year again Nina influence they need pork

World revolves around China India USA maybe in that order
