There was a post started about a Precision Ag Conference.....Producers are applying variable rate inputs. Have the technology on their equipment. Have auto steer and sectional control. Being forced to reduce emissions in a certain vintage of equipment. And grain grading has a hard time coming out of the caves of the Stone Age.... really now!!!!

These tests don't always work in your favor but sometimes they do. It just takes the guess work out of grading.

No experience here yet this year at gumbo flats - good durum hidden in underground bunker - safe from attack.

Been thinking about this thread, agree temperature is important along with moisture content when wetted, however, rain, snow, dew, fog. No doubt a fine line. Perhaps I should not CURSE the COLD area we grow in? Normal day is 3-5 C colder here than Regina or Saskatoon. GDD are always lower here.

Almost too funny, test results from the CGC Harvest Sample program of the last wheat we harvested that laid in a swath through heavy dew, days of mist, rain and had snow on it at least twice....came back with a falling number of "85". Yes, "85"

Not so funny....sold it for $5 delivered with a drying charge. It is 15.8 and lower. Today, #1 CWRS 13.0 for Nov/Dec is about $5.70. WOW, WHAT A PREMIUM FOR QUALITY.
