Changing the name from global warming to climate change, to make sure all that all events can be used to justify the cause, was the equivalent of me making a prediction that the Quebec Nordiques will win the Grey cup in the 8th game in sudden death overtime by a score of 9 to 4, with the winning home run kicked in by player #24.

Then when it becomes clear that my prediction was a little off, I change it to say that all sporting events will have either a winner and loser or a tie, therefore when my great aunt's lawn bowling team loses to the octegenarians team in the old folks home, I can say , see I told you so.

OK, I admit, I know as much about sports, as Chuck does about climate,
and economics,
and humour,
and the geography of Florida,

but the point I was trying to make, is that global warming was a falsifiable hypothesis, based on a possibly viable mechanism, with a very narrow definable outcome.

Climate change is a catch all which can never be falsified, since it is all encompassing, which makes it absolutely meaningless from a scientific perspective.

Weaned our last week. The point of divergence is that after 3 days my calves came to their senses, accepted reality, quit bawling and got on with life in a most productive manner, rather than driving everyone else nuts with their racket.

Isn't it amazing how animals, and most rational humans can accept that change is inevitable, and generally positive, even if it is disruptive at first. Yet the climate alarmists, are stuck on this notion that there was a perfect era, and that any departure from that utopia is necessarily bad and needs to be prevented at all costs. The ridiculous concept that there was ever a state of stasis, where the distribution of species was stable, glaciers didn't grow or shrink, weather was consistent and perfect, sea level was constant, and Agriville members had nothing to argue about.
