    Volcanologists watch closely for plumes that reach the stratosphere because they tend to stay aloft for longer than those that remain within the troposphere. That is why plumes that reaches the stratosphere typically have the greatest effects on aviation and climate.

    NASA rebuttle;

    Although our models are flawed and cannot account for any of these variables accurately, some which we do not even bother to include, humans are no doubt responsible for the rapid warming of our planet and only by ceasing all fossil fuel use we can avert a tragedy in just 12 yrs.

    In the spirit of this phase out of fossil fuels, all rockets will now be powered with renewable energy.
