How do those wooly buggers stay cool in that hot climate?
Is there places they can get to stand in shade?

80 to 85% of paddocks have some trees and or nshelter belts but wool inulates em makes em warm and cool.

Sorry, just woke up mallee. I tried and tried, but fell asleep. Actually have a predator issue at the moment. Haven’t lost a lamb to coyotes for several years. Until this fall. Set some snares, moved the flock, swapped out guard dogs. Hope to throw them off. Thanks to the snow, I know what happened last night. Up till then it was guessing. Blasted coyotes.

Look at getting a good guard Donkey, male ungelded is best... they are the most aggressive... or have a good well trained sheep dog guard them. Cheers

We actually have ewes named Mary and Margaret. Molly, Dottie, petunia, tulip, and zoey. Part of our original 7. Funny how you get to know em by their baa and their faces. Lol. They’re 7 years old now. Close to the end. But they built us a feasible base for a flock.
