Less than 2% of population, lessor % of voters, why would we matter? Stores are full of FOOD! Most see primary producers as an inconvenience, only place funding goes is farther up the chain for markets and processing.

Just a fraction of actual producers left and all land is still in crop, where is there a problem?

Unity is lacking and more important than ever. Supply management, CWB, FNA...........somehow we producers have to come together.

Well let’s at least change them and get people with some ambition and ideas. Instead of people who just sit there and collect a big pay check and big retirement packages after just 2 terms of so called service. We complain about how Quebec this and Quebec that but part of the problem is we have too many duds here only in it for themselves. Sure as hell not innit for us.

Anybody I know of in any industry that got a big idea jumped onto the socialist Marxist bandwagon. It might be better our leaders are silent.

Agristability ....people expanding their operations are getting money because they have to rework the margin calculations....go big or go home...thats the way MNP designed the program....MNP will figure you a way to get the money as long as you spend $$$$$ at the firm....it was a funding program for accounting firms....

Seed tax is coming with any government....the AAFC meetings were just to massage the masses....they will get over it and its a done deal....thank you to Sask wheat/barley/flax/canola for standing up for farmers...uh huh....

No party has an agriculture platform....The green party wants us to quit using fossil fuels....and what is the replacement for ag equipment????

The conservatives gutted any kind of farm support with idiotic advice from the guy that moved back to Alberta to become the ag minister in Alberta....

The NDP doesn't even understand the number of unions jobs supported by farming ...

MLA's and MP's in Sask know they have the farmers vote no matter what and the biggest part of donations comes from oil industry. Why would they ever care about agriculture.?

That’s correct and why would we just hand them our vote for nothing then? We still have more influence than people think. Our finance minister stated that the budget would be balanced unless farm receipts were low due to frost. So I think what we contribute is quite meaningful.

We are in line to experience a far left government coalition IMHO (or maybe my fear) considering that the liberals have taken a huge step farther to the left which is now occupied by 3 parties. The conservatives now occupy the center. Period. But what will the center left voters do? That's the million dollar question.

Here's my slogan for this election: If you're not right then you're FAR left.

It will be wet weather doing the damage along with frost damage already done . M
Again shows the lack of understanding of how wet weather will drastically cut into revenues on crops . It killed our net revenue last fall , it was snow not rain , but same end result. Got zero from crop insurance and would have got zero from GARS as well .

do not understand how a person hands anyone there vote no matter what.Look at Scheer promising social conservatives many things to get the leadership. Now he has distanced himself from those ideas cause he knows he has their vote anyway and knows he can not win as a social conservative.
