Being a farmer and dealing and relying on weather as much as farmers do furrow likely has more credentials than most of those scientists. Although anyone that sticks there head out the window or needs a furnace in August through June likely does also.

True ...we left windows open all summer in the evening instead of running the AC ....some mornings it was still a bit chilly in the house.


Its funny how the scientist never look at some interesting data....like how early some crops went in and how late they came off...there is durum that was in before May 1st and is just being put in a bin now....that more than 120 days ....in a summer they say was hotter ...that doesn't compute...

My mother always said for everything there is a season. Don’t plant later peas, cabbage etc. because they won’t do well. I think we missed that first part of the growing season with cold, late spring, then no rain to give the crops a jump start. I guess when the crop is delayed by a month and a half, everything is out of sync. We needed a couple of weeks of 40 degrees and hot sun, that would have kept this crop cooking but......

Harvest delays can be a downer but just when we get really depressed, Mother Nature surprises us with a long dry fall. 👍 ( Now that SF has his dryer ready, the weather should change) 😂
