Neighbours 9230 coming home from field - shifting to road gear- combine stops dead and refuses to budge - puts brake on and no matter what- will not move.

gear shifter get stuck or computer died? if its the gear shifter stuck you have go pound the front axel where that shift selenoid is, also try shaking the combine or push it to get the shifter to get unstuck. happened to me years ago.

It was really dark by that time, combine is left on a deserted dirt road. codes say that transmission wires are disconnected. Maybe control module but will try your fix first MBGrower. Can’t be anything too serious, can it be?

Check the simple things first. Solenoid, relay or fuse.

Combine is back in business. It was stuck between gears. Hope this is not a sign of things to come. Thanx for the suggestions Agrivillers. Safe harvest.🍀

It’s important to shift only one gear at a time - stop - then shift to the next gear!
Don’t be shifting from 2 to 4 in 1 second, it should take 30 seconds ish

Might have to shut engine off, disconnect power at the battery switch then reboot every thing in order - including letting the pro 700 fully boot up to run screens before starting the engine.

if it happens again, you can sometimes fix right from inside the cab by shaking the combine by turning on the threshing unit, and turn the rear wheels back and forth. sometimes this is just enough to get the gears to release.

Good idea, if that still does not work supposedly a ground thin 15/16 wrench will slide under the shift motor located on top of the tranny and it can be coerced into gear. Be careful out there and may you never blow a tranny :-).
