    Harvest

I left the farm Thurs night for the lake till Monday, I’m thinking by the time I get back things will have changed quite a bit. This heat has pushed stuff I’m sure, could have hurt some yield.
Anyone think they will be harvesting sooner than they thought?

Will be desiccating(diquat) peas real soon.

Pea report....although there was root rot present and there were some above ground symptoms of it too, they are still finishing up "naturally". Not those brown mycosphaerela patches(?) we saw in the past. They're coming in pretty even.

Canola still in FULL bloom on most fields. Odd one about 3 weeks to swathing, rest about 6 weeks to swathing. Looks like end of August for cereals, JUST TOO COLD!

Heat? What heat? Humid as can be, has rained daily, and cut hay is too damp to roll up after being cut on Monday. Was down in Regina on wednesday, guys baling everywhere, was 30 degrees, but with no humidity it was a comfortable day. Today it was 27 here, but you can literally wring water out of the hay, the lawn never did dry completely even in full sun.

Humidity is such a huge factor in farming...

              Cereals all look good..
              BLY has mega potential..
Long ways to go for most canola.
Going to be a very interesting harvest for sure..

I agree. I think the barley is generally fantastic.

Hopefully within the month here for pea dessication. Flat.
                  Lots of flat barley.
Canola coming off flower. Wheat tillers still trying.
                  No sun.
