As someone with a successful 8th generation farm business my only "resentment" is the disservice this poster's contributions make to those who are genuinely suffering hardship on the farm whether it's due to low commodity prices or a weather disaster. Half the time boasting about the new toys, the holidays, how great his crops are and the other half crying that he has no money, needs a handout and is going to have to quit farming it's so bad.Originally posted by furrowtickler View PostWhy the resentment for someone who has had a successful 4th generation farm with a full time working wife ????
That is an underlying issue with some .
I don’t understand that .
I have every sympathy for real farmers and real hardship. If we are to believe that these pages are read by politicians or people in positions of power his contributions do a great disservice to the average farmer as they lead to the assumption that all farmers are like this.

the last parts on my newer tracked tractor had to come from europe. none in N america. Wasnt there a law years back that enforced manufactures to provide parts/service in a certain number of days? its ridiculous, 700k for a tractor or combine, you put 150 hours on it, and next season no one has parts available. god, farmers are stupid.Originally posted by helmsdale View PostNothing to worry about... I dumped just shy of a partsmans yearly salary into that place for combine parts in July.
Kept a couple LTL freight companies and international customs brokers in business as well being that the regina depot is pretty much empty these days. Most everything came out of Lebanon PA, or quebec/Ontario.
