I doubt you would get an answer. He was from our area but passed away a few years back.

When your mid-point shipping to the east or west that ****en crow meant something. Freight out of this area was probably as bad as it got. I thought they used to say Sintaluta Sask was in the middle and we are relatively close to it.

I've noticed over the years since the "open market" Alberta grain price quotes were usually higher than here. I don't expect your farm to subsidize mine's freight rate but maybe the government should have been doing it but not behind the secret curtain of the CWB! How about out of the general revenue fund not out of the CWB pool accounts.

Well I can't remember without research, what would our freight be today, east and west, and was this on all commodities? Actually I think the rate was equal across the prairies and AB killed it for th advantage of lower rates compared to Sk! do we even know our current rate? Or is it in the "blessed basis"?

fj, I would have to look too but I seem to think it was about a buck a bushel for wheat near the end of CWB days. Seems total deductions were about 60 bucks a tonne then. So maybe even higher than a buck a bushel for freight.

Ya, then there was the "trucking" incentives that disappeared to help offset increase costs from rail and elevator consolidation.

There are certain things I would never want to return to either but some things were done wrong IMHO.

Now we have no idea what kind of freight rate is negotiated above or below the rate cap. Some mainline fast loading terminals probably pay less.

Could be totally off base .
                            Was it 13$/ton or 13 Cents /bushel.
                            Google I guess.
The guy with the cowboy hat in the middle . Maybe looks like someone I know.
When I think who may have been there.
                            A longshot.

Just remember it took just over 2
Years to burn up the compensation
                              In increased rates.
I was probably ask to go , but never did.
I Was fooled into thinking if they got full compensatory rates .
                              They actually might haul it.
                              HA.

And all the feedlots and pig operations, pasta plants and flour
                              Mills.
                              We were gonna get. HA.
There are way less now than before the crow went.

You would think it should have
                              Worked.
Those guys in the pic. were right all along

The Rrs do not have to perform
At all. They are a monolopy.

Then load your truck and drive it to the coast.
We will haul it when we get around to it.
By the way we now want 10 times more to haul it.
                              .
Just read the sign in the middle.
Will you respect us in the morning.
                              I guess the answer was
                              No
