Since the government allowed pumpsites and cabins to be built around buffalo pound ...it's maybe their problem as to why the lake gets like that....the water level can't be raised. ..

They could straighten the canal from the quappelle dam on Lake deifenbaker in the valley but the environmentalists won't let them. ...then they wouldn't have to build a canal or pumpsite ..... gravity flow....

The Valley system is a dirty lake system. It is flushed by only the odd rain storm in the summer otherwise it's a dead stagnant lake.

lots of Huge cottages are built along with it for the last few years.

Who wants a smelly slimy green water lake.

But ralphs idea for farmers. HAHAHAHA

Is to get water flowing into the valley and keep it as a fish tank flushed. So this way he makes all the Real estate agents happy in Regina and all his supporters supper happy. So they can sell for big money some day not less.

Its all about the money has nothing to do with farmers and irrigation.

Don't need more production ....who is buying anything from canada? ????

We can't compete environmentally financially etc against the US Ukraine Brazil. ....we are out of the market and then add in in the damage done by this liberal government

If this isn't the biggest empty promise of the year,,,it'll be right up there with them. I wasn't even going to comment on this as it's such a waste of time, yet some here believe it could/might happen,,,you're kidding yourselves.

Goodale knows this will never be built, just look at what Devine had to go through 35 years ago with evironazis! They're funded multiple times more now than back then, from American green groups, and rich liberal philanthropists.

With this campaign nugget, Goodale's bound to get some in ag and some with existing cabins or property to believe him, and sucker their vote,,,one last time!

I dont think the level on the lakes have to change, just more fresh water flowing though them would make a difference. Then those linking rivers could be dredged a bit and you would have a nice little natural lake corridor there. I like the chain lakes for may and june but boy are they gross in July Aug unless there is some huge rains.

Just remember who was in charge of the environment portfolio when the changes to sask water were implemented. He is now are fearless leader. more interested in oil than canola.
