Friend of ours with his seeding unit
A Pottinger high speed seed unit . Very similar to some of the equipment that Klause shows on here from South America once in a while
He used it last year, grew some very good crops with it in very dry conditions.

Common style of drill in Europe too where there is less acres to cover. Often because they still plough there they will have a tool on the front linkage to work the land from ploughed state to seedbed to seeded in one pass.

I have been looking online and researching these types of units...do you have a dealer close by that is knowledgeable and helpful?

It seems that stuff gets to the higher production areas....

Are they expensive????

Because the common colours are outrageous and/or poorly built...

I made a half round with my son at 5.5 MPH and it felt like a jail cell seeding....

Ya we have a local dealer for the Horsch
They are good now after 3 years .
Nothings cheap but they are about 1/2 price of a 70 -80 ft drill with the same bells and whistles. And you need a 600 plus hp tractor .
But limited to just liquid phos with seed and lots of moving parts.
Good and bad , Luke most anything out there
They are very well built and easy to work on if need be

Sorry if I am not up on this, so pull a smaller rig that does better seed bed prep and pull it twice as fast?

I saw this protill article with a BG tank added on but it does more of a broadcasting job for fert and canola seed. Not exactly accurate placement.

Most are designed to precisely seed at 8-10 mph ...... if conditions are right .
We pull our Horsch with a 1993 Case 9270. Very cheap hp.

So I take it you don’t need huge hydraulic flow then?
