All part of their plan to turn the West back into Buffalo pasture.

They could turn the entire country back to the buffalo...it wouldn't make any difference to what they are trying to solve for a world problem...

Calgary-based oil and gas company cites gas prices, tax bills, court decision as it shuts down

              https://globalnews.ca/news/5228271/trident-exploration-gas-energy-calgary-ceases-operations/

"In the release, the company blames its demise on low natural gas prices and high lease and property tax bills, along with capacity constraints on TransCanada Corp.’s NGTL gas pipeline system."

And the Redwater Supreme court decision that said environmental cleanup should be paid for before creditors.

Instead of blaming politicians try looking at the underlying issues. Low prices thanks to an over supply of gas in north america, high lease and property tax bills, and capacity constraint on gas pipelines.

If you cant cover the cost of cleanup in your business plan why should you be in business? The days of take the money and run are over.

We have a trident gas well. Was drilled about 10yrs ago but never tied in. They really dont have any other wells close so was puzzled why it was ever drilled. Will be interesting how this plays out.

Dealing with the province to get paid on these abandoned leases is an education in patience. We got three of them currently and it takes two years to get paid for them. You’re also on your own for any issues like weeds and fencing. Our fly by night outfit is still in business but they just told us our wells were no longer profitable so they quit paying. If I didn’t pay rent or taxes on my unprofitable fields I wonder how long I’d be in business???

                    Good luck🍀
