    Glyphosate

Saw a presentation yesterday from a agronomist.

Had some stuff about edward hardeman or who ever the guy from san fransisco he was absoultely drenched in it often day after day.

Was raised maybe the school or local govt should have actually been sued.

Apparently if he was doused in washing powder or caffiene to the same extent similar results could have occured if he had the lymphoma present in his body which appears to be the case. To many unanswered questions and hypotheticals.

    Can of worms.

A left wing tv news show here had a glypho episode appears there might be some sort of retraction of some of the statements imminent. One of the farmers interviewed has his "glypho induced illness" actually from about age of 10 well before he ever touched glypho see what pans out with that one. Basically a paid activist/troll. Saddened many on both sides one that hes crook but 2 just a blantant lie for the cause. May never see the media but its well known especially in his local area.

Worst case according to agro was the pre harvest dessication on barley may be reviewed possibly all dessication. Never said banned or the likes.

If dessication was to cease as a "trade off" wouldnt be the end of the world but for you guys with short harvest period a bit different.

So in a nutshell from australian perspective things may change in usage 10 years down the track but never be banned.

Very little preharvest glyphosate used in Canada. I think that all maltsters make you sign a declaration saying you did not use it. Some feed barley gets sprayed here, but very little. Would not be a big deal if barley was removed from the label.

similar here only used on feed barley not allowed on malt. used to dessicate all legumes and hay by some. I try not to use it except for dessicating canola for direct heading.

the pendulum is seemingly swinging back to farmers after maybe 2 years here in aust been swinging to the anti glypho crowd.

he drought australia wide drought really has put a positive spin on chem use still having big dust storms but way way less in farming areas because of changed farming methods from years gone by.

not against guys who cultivate or organic farm whatever works for each and every farmer is all different.

re drought in aust maybe just maybe 1/3 of the country has had decent falls now. Alas our area is still waiting and not necessarily patiently
