Maybe that's true, but for every guy like that, there are more that bought land at top value, leased a bunch of shiny iron and paid $120 in rent to rip it out of the neighbors hands. FCC publishes farm debt numbers. Does that sound like the majority are conservative operators?

It isn't about the producer. If they wouldn't have ****ed with this, i could see a bottoming happening within a year. Now, without a major drought, 3 years maybe, and another buck and a half down into the sub 400 range. Would be a great time to ramp up ethanol and biodiesel production with all the new found carbon tax but that's a 3-5 yr timeframe. This is gonna suck.Originally posted by bucket View PostHow does boosting advances to 1 million dollars help the average farmer??????

Its not interest free....if you have canola the first 500000 is interest free....for the rest of us indirectly affected its still at 100000....from what I have read.Originally posted by oldjim View PostMillion dollar interest free cash advance?
The Liberal government has become Input Capital 2.0.
The million should be interest free....along with an accelerated CCA on bins and zero recapture on bins ....

That would require someone standing on the podium who actually understands western ag. "Understanding" anything cuts Minister BoBo out of the picture. I thought it was telling that they left most of the talking to Jim Carr. Even the idiot Lieberals must understand that BoBo is just keeping the Cabiinet chair warm until after the election.Originally posted by bucket View PostThe million should be interest free....along with an accelerated CCA on bins and zero recapture on bins ....

Tell your friend farmers just want their fair share of the pie. They are tired of getting the crumbs.....Originally posted by Sheepwheat View Post
I do not feel bad for anyone who can’t deal with 9 dollar canola and 5 dollar wheat.
I am asking for a friend: since when are farmers guaranteed a life of luxury? Since when are commodity prices set in stone, and 9 dollar canola the end of the world? Since when do we not take responsibility for our own insane choices?
Crybabies! Whiners! Pathetic is what this is.

If that's what they did on canola only, they just killed it.
