    Fuel prices in Vancouver

Talked to a guy in Vancouver the other day, he said people are fed up with gas @1.77 per litre, he said greed between the oil companies and government taxes combined with high housing/rent prices is starting to grind people down.

Just the first step to a carbon free economy.

I would say it is a taste of more to come.

Science/Energy and Environment posts on-going studies that conclude that electric cars as in the Tesla 3 contribute more carbon dioxide than diesel cars.

Greed? The oil industry offered to double their refined products in a new pipeline and they said no. The guy you talked to should give his head a shake.

Good. **** 'em. Made their deal with NDP and Greens, now enjoy it as they continue to blow their shit into the surrounding water and claim oil will kill the ocean life.

Unfortunately on the other side of the country, frogs, true to form, seem to be adept to swimming in water rather than drowning in it, so no solution there yet.

I can't speak for him but he may be thinking when crude peaked at 150.00, pump prices were 1.20 ish

even with crude at 65.00 today, inflation and an increase in fuel taxes the correlation indicates that pump

prices are higher than they should be today.

But I do understand what you are saying, BC's government is not at all helping the situation by stopping

            pipelines from being built.

This is “Mission Accomplished” for the BC government.

If they don’t want pipelines and love carbon taxes maybe they should learn how $4/litre affects the average taxpayer.

Here's a link that talks about the price of gas in BC and a breakdown of the rack, taxes, and dealer costs. There is even some opinions on a Alberta pipeline and the impact it would have.
