You hit the nail on the head.

We have Zero leadership from anybody on this file.

We pay millions for that and get zero return.

This is serious boys and girls and it will end badly for us farmers.

Trudeau will move on and get some UN Job and speak for big money and laugh and dance and sing.

We will be left with a world of hurt.

Some think the high interest was a killer, well this might make that look like a catwalk.

Without the US in our corner, we cant take on someone like China. And we fd up our relationship with Trump so he is happy to sit back and watch us implode and pick up Canadas lost trade revenue.

People down east are so stupid. They don't know that our economy is supported and enabled by the US. They want to act all woke and superior. The US allows Canada to partake in their economic system as a security arrangement and we had skippy mcfnuts go and destroy that alliance in just a few months.

Skippy and his posy screwed that relationship up the first-day trump got elected.

You say yes sir and no sir and just go with the flow with the USA. He would have concentrated his anger on Mexico and Canada would be doing ok.

No skippy was going to show the world that Obama and Hillary had it right.

What skippy forgot was the American people voted for Trump to get Hillary and Obama out and the USA is growing by leaps and bounds.

Canada is the Mexico of the north.

Sorry to offend but where are all the liberal supporters.

Come with your sheets of paper and cut and paste and how you have all the answers why Skippy is doing a great job.

        Silence like all our Representatives.

Scheer to demand Canada pull funds from Chinese multilateral development bank

OTTAWA -- Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer will call on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau today to respond to China's ban on Canadian canola shipments by taking a number of steps, including pulling hundreds of millions of dollars Ottawa has committed to Beijing's multilateral development bank.
The Canadian Press has learned Scheer will also use a news conference to demand that Trudeau immediately appoint a new ambassador to China, launch a complaint about the canola dispute with the World Trade Organization and increase financial support for farmers.
These are all good points by Scheer and all common sense steps.
If Trudeau opposes these 3 items he will be intentionally sabotaging canola sales to China.

            Money for Toyota today. ...

This is when the farm groups need to make headlines....asking why do the auto companies get money....

Lexus autos are not cheap....why do they need a subsidy??? ....tack it on to the purchase price....not my taxes....

Here is another one....for every 20 dollars the irrigators at Riverhurst put in....the government gives them 40.....for an project/investment that was supposed to be be self funding. ...

Wouldn't that be a great deal for the rest of us dryland farmers for our farms that are paying the 40 bucks for 30 guys irrigation project.....

Where the **** are our farm groups?

Why in holy hell are we giving money to china to build rail lines when we cant get sh*t built right here? $250m donation to that communist dictatorship? Seriously WTF??

Look how stupid CBC is. Saying peas are now the next target for china and show green edible peas coming out of a garden. These guys have no clue or even bother to do any basic research.

How can China cancel food imports when it appears they could be on the verge of a famine or at least a meat famine.

In almost 40 years of analyzing commodity markets, Arlan Suderman says he has never witnessed an industry-jolting event as dramatic as the contagion spreading across China’s hog farms.
The chief commodities economist at INTL FCStone Inc., the New York-based brokerage, has been warning clients about the impact of African swine fever, which he says is not only under-reported but will spur a restructure of China’s entire farm industry and trigger an escalation in meat prices globally. Most react in disbelief, Suderman said, but the situation is likely to worsen before it gets better.
“I have never encountered anything of the scope of African swine fever before,” Suderman said in a phone interview from his office in Kansas City, where he’s been fielding reports from a 10-strong team on the ground in China. “This is going to be a big, world story.”
