    Parts up more than 50%

In less than a year. Priced out some stuff on the JD website.
I thought we were supposed to commit to doing things sustainably these days.
    This is no joke

They know new sales will be and are dropping . Not just JD , all of them .
Sooo, it’s time to crank up the parts margins from 200% to 300% .

Check out Shoup ... even with exchange and shipping it could save you some money .

A wiring harness glitch on a Lexion leads to a circuit board screwup .
      4000 and 12000 plus labor
      Probably 20000 .total.
      Certainly not a wear item.

Makes an old red one 21-2388
      Look pretty cheap.

For perspective, for that same 20,000 you could hire an extra operator and run two of the older red ones, and if you paid that operator $30 per hour, he could run it for 667 hours for the same money as the repair cost you. That should be good for a 2 or 3 seasons. Not sure how some operations justify the expense of new machines with the cost of labor for operators argument.

Bet I can fix it for $20. Plus $80 for labour.

              For perspective A5.
Back when I had 3 Class 5 CaseIhs.
$25000 was my labor cost for 3 operators 1-2 truck drivers.
What was I doing you ask??
Running my ass off keeping it all moving.
Out of season maintenance plus in season repairs on top. Parts not in stock.
My 1 Class 8 now does more work more efficiently. While making a payment.
$/ac to own a combine likely similar for either case.
The problem with combines is when we get too far from right number acres for value of machine.
