Who watches if politicians are paid under the table?

Is there anyone watching or do people care if someone gets paid under the table in politics?
From what we see that happens out in the open and nothing seems to be done about it. I can't help but speculate there must be a shit load of cash to certain people.

The people watching can't do shit about those that are doing it...I think there are a few practicing lawyers in the house of commons....

I don't know what goes on in Ottawa but the temptation of insider trading in and around the white house would certainly exist. Some of Trumps tweet's determine the direction of the market. There's always a few who think they are the smartest person in the room type, who are willing to risk the consequences.
