The agricultural cycle 2018/2019 evidences a significant improvement in the projected economic results for summer crops.
This improvement is both in relation to the previous cycle, as well as in relation to recent years, according to the report on "Expected economic result of agriculture, agricultural campaign 2018/19 for the departments of Colón, RÃo Primero, RÃo Segundo and Third Top ", prepared by the Economics Group of Inta Manfredi.

The good economic results expected for the first and second soybeans, corn and peanuts are basically explained by the devaluation of the national currency that accumulates in nominal terms around 100 percent in the year, according to the report. .

"Although the margins were estimated in dollars, the prices of labor, freight, and commercial services (collection, conditioning and marketing) are denominated in national currency and expressed in dollars using the current exchange rate," says the report whose authors are Noelia Barberis, Rodolfo Bongiovanni and MartÃn Giletta.
It is clarified that the economic results obtained are an average of productive agricultural establishments (EAPs) representative within each homogeneous agro-economic zone (ZAH), in the 2018/19 campaign.

First soy
Positive margins are observed for these proposals in all departments, even when the field is rented. This result is the result of a high expected price of the oilseed for May 2019 and also a consequence of high yields.

In the last 4 campaigns, the four departments considered had very good averages of yields in soybeans, in all cases exceeding 30 quintals.
Second soy
Although the considered yield is lower compared to the first proposal (15 percent lower than the departmental average of the campaigns 2013 / 14-2016 / 17), but direct costs are also lower.
In this case, the margin in own field as in rented is positive, although the amounts are lower compared to the first soybean. "It must be remembered that in second-class soybeans, renting is shared with wheat in the proportion 70-30, respectively," the report clarifies.
