Get around $20 to even 30 more than these elevator prices, locally to feed mills flour mills pigerries poultry farms.

Is this local demand due to the drought?

Our wheat is bid locally for a two or better at 7$ a bushel about, or 257 CAD / 196 USD/mt elevator values.

With freight and Fx taken into account how do you justify the difference between Canadian and Australian values

NOV 16 St.Lawrence asking: $352.52 CAD ($264.39 USD)
NOV 16 West Coast asking: $331.77 CAD ($248.83 USD)
Adelaide (port or farmgate?): $410.00 AUD ($299.30 USD)

Nearly $1US/bu difference. (If the comparison is correct and relevant)

1 AUD = .73 USD
1 CAD = .75 USD

Yep drought basis

Prices have come back in feed barley particularly.

Most are selling its in the top 5% of prices in last 15 yrs some selling 2/3 and punting on last 30% of production.

ASW mentioned lower protien wheat could get $360 in the paddock yesterday

Fowards currently available are $302 per tonne adelaide basis for 19 harvest for standard apw wheat.

Again fair basis doubt anyone is biting yet

Biggest unknown is sorghum harvest/plantings harvest will occur march april in qld and northern nsw.

Currentlyb that crop is in dire straight s so feed grains could well go through the roof but as always if it gets to expensive imports happen or guys sell there stock probably the latter
