US winning trade war against China.

    https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/china-paying-most-trump-apos-134813450.html

The attached article gives a good overview of why the US tariffs are here to stay. Hopefully the link works. The bottom line is that tariffs benefit the US and so not having a tariff in the US was just foolish. There simply is no other market to send your exports to so tariff or no tariff, you have to sell in the US. So the US might as well fund their government with a tariff rather than domestic taxes and they do have debt to service.

The world order for past several decades since last world war has seen trade agreements in place that facilitated and encouraged trade.
Populist support for protectionism has recently helped to elect Trump as president of USA.
Thought tariffs and trade wars are a recipe for economic troubles and eventually other warfare.
A surprise to see so much support for them from other Agriville posters

No one wins a trade war . . . including the U.S. Economic pain coming down-the-pipe for the American economy quickly due 'directly to Trump tariffs'. It is going to bite . . . and bite hard.

Indian lentil tariffs hitting us hard—— and no one in the government is doing anything about it (no counter tariffs).

U.S. durable goods released this morning . . . down 4.4% for the month of October. Tip of the iceberg of the fallout ahead (IMO).
