    Goodale, what is going on?

I see this reported on Canadian Press (Comtex)

    Jan. 9 --

"Petro-Canada shares were up $1.53 to $65.75 after Finance Minister Ralph Goodale said the federal government might sell its $3-billion stake in the company."

WHy would Goodale want to sell Petro-Canada?

Does this mean bad news for the oil sector is coming?

    Carbon Credits... increased taxes?

Or maybe the government is just broke and needs some cash to buy the April election? Goodale says the cupboard is bare and its hard to spend like a drunken sailor if you don't have some cash! Solution...sell off some assets!
