Just paging through the Ritchie Bros fall Christmas Wish Book, and noted the little ads where they profile some dumbass paying way too much for an item. Example 1: 1985 Versatile 936 that sold for $64000. I noted they did not feature the 1992 Versatile 946 that sold for $19500. Would be a bit pissed if that was my tractor after reading about the 936. Then there was the fellow who paid $470000 for an 84' seedhawk. The only purpose for an 84ft seed hawk is to anchor ships and I am sure the proud owner will figure that out. Anyways if anyone from RB is reading this, I am laughing at you.

If it wasn't for artificially cheap debt, you would have never seen things like 620 Quad tracks and very large drills. Land base is too fragmented in most of western Canada for these things to work efficiently enough to pay for themselves as rates rise. Saw the same in the 80's. Large equipment became obsolete. Same this go around.
