Above normal gets talked and talked about but below normal dead silence.

This is exactly why they changed the term global warming to climate change..... now you simply can’t deny any weather anomaly

The only place I read of one temperature extreme being talked about endlessly while the other is ignored is here on Agriville.

Nobody changed the term global warming to climate change the two expressions refer to two different things and have been in use as such by scientists for decades. Global warming refers to the long-term trend of a rising average global temperature. Climate change refers to the changes in the global climate which result from the increasing average global temperature. Both of which are indisputable.

Have to admit exact same happens here. Only hear of above average temps never below and opposite with rain only hear of below average not often the above average rains.

Global warming is utter bullshit. Do you honestly think the additional 80ppm C02 in the atmosphere in the last 150 years has any measureable impact on our weather? Even if we had added 9500ppm C02 humans would survive just fine. Actually Earth would thrive.

Which is the most noteworthy or sensational to the general population?

                    a. Up to 90 people died inside a couple of weeks in one province due to a heatwave.
                    b. Agricultural harvest has been delayed in parts of the prairies due to unseasonably cool weather.

Reporting the news, nothing to do with a "climate change agenda".
