Ha! Got you all beat. Hard wet frost after 1/4” of showers all of yesterday and now light snow. This was supposed to be our nice days according to the forecast. Finally got the alfalfa wilting down from frost the other day and not sure what to do with it. I doubt it’ll dry enough to make silage bales even. Starting to fence a couple quarters to graze them instead. An hour away there’s combines rolling but not here anytime soon.

          Rubber boots aren’t optional here.

Funny thing the wheat might actually give more dollars per acre than canola if it continues to spiral downward.

Ha, who would have known? The experts said don't grow Wheat.

yea always bet against an expert.

Why are prices not even looking at the reality that almost 11 billion in grain is still in the field and nothing has been taken off dry? One warm spell in two weeks and boom bins a heating.

No temps over single digits for two weeks ahead yet.
Also what no one in the industry is even remotely talking about is the quality or lack of that’s still out there.
There is a massive amount of what’s left is going to be feed , and poor feed that will not be saleable to elevators. Same with canola , ADM in Lloyd is going to be crapping their pants when canola starts coming off in earnest around there and points west ... they will be looking for yellow in all the green sadly

I just can't get over No one from Farm Groups to Crop Specialists to Grain Companies is talking about the Harvest.

It's all RAh Rah Rah. Let's hold hands and play a fiddle as the good ship lollypop sinks.

Every single guy around that got a heads up on harvest and is done has tough grain or really tough aeration does shit all.

Then now every single bushel harvested is tough or damp or F#$Ked.

No mention. Its all great in Western Canada.

Two weeks more of this shit the window is closing. The ground gets too cold and a big snow event shuts it all down.

Sad really but that's Canada where nothing is really discussed.

its really disappointing that no one can report on real issues...a repetitive news cycle about US politics while they can't put one report about 11 billion in crops left in the field...

APAS, Saskwheat, saskcanola, saskflax, potential MLA candidates should raise the issue....pretty much crickets....

Where is our new provincial ag minister?????

Where is the federal ag minister????

                  Where is our premier???

Years ago, a harvest like this wouldn't go unnoticed.
