Finished picking up our swathed wht from last Sunday.
16.5 was the dryest it got.
But it's number 1.with 13.1 protein..in case it does rain..

32 degrees @ 22% RH todwy...We started combining some wheat that we started SWATHING last Sunday. It(the whole field) wasn't "dead ripe"...the low patches were still a shade of light light green. Some "uncured" kernels in the sample but nothing a day or two on aeration won't equalize with the dry stuff. Ya, I know, I'm a swathing hillbilly.

We only have one quarter of wheat to go, its not quite ready. If we can get by tomorrow's probability we should have it off before Monday's greater chance of rain.

Every thing else will be moisture proof but not WIND proof!

Weather...we, in Ag, are ruled by it.

Looks like i will be sacrificing the lentils for the soybeans....

****ing HEAT ...doesn't speed **** all up....now the excuse is environmental factors...

BTW something is up in the lentils market???? small moves but the right way....pricing on the way up...small amounts...

My market prediction...20 cents buys a lot of red lentils.....I will be out at 19.75....

If it does rain I think it will be shit showers here.
    Ground is very dry...
Is rain too late for soybeans? Is there any signs of drought or color change of the plants? Haven't seen any around here lately to assess. Do they scavenge for moisture as good as the scavenge for phosphate?
