A $375,000 USD combine would be about 10,222,500 Argy Pesos.... I guess that would fit.

Beans, corn, wheat are all traded in USD.

Argentine farmers have operated in USD for decades... Since WWII actually...

Farmers buy inputs and iron in USD, they have USD accounts, loans in USD are at interest rates we are used to.

Then, when they need to buy a plane ticket, or food, or gas, or a car, they pay for it in A$R.

Do you understand the advantage you have in your living expenses when you convert 1 tonne of beans at say $329 USD to $8970 peso?

And a month from now, that'll be $9020 peso.

At the rate we're going, we will find out because our dollar is going down the same path Argentina's Peso did. We're just 50 years later.

The lack of faith in the Argentina currency is an eye opener...........indicator of how strong the economy is??

I would say one of the first boxes to check if you want to be a great country is a stable currency but what do I know I am not as well traveled as some on here. Or at least thats what they tell me.

There is not a country on Earth with a
strong stable currency. The USD for example has lost 90% of its purchasing power since 1970.

All income and expenses in USD - stable currency, box checked.
Mr. 88 is right a low Peso indicates confidence in their economy and should give farmers more purchasing power on the cost of living side.

All income and expenses in CAD - leaves us with exposure to currency fluctuations, exchange fees and cost of handling our money and all the other skims that come from working in a USD controlled trading system, box unchecked.

Lower CAD, good for exports? Yes, until you take into account the above mentioned skims. I could never figure out why we don't work in USD, would eliminate all the opaque monetary transactions.

Purchasing power of the CAD, not as good as it used to be. Cost of living increases and only going to continue due to the carbon tax and other federal government misspending. Social unrest, identity and gender politics. I am not so sure that this country is as stable as you think it is Mr. bgmb.

The issues you have listed have all been bought on by our Groper PM, Willy Porneau and captain Climate Barbie with her weather team.
These policies can be reversed with a change in government as we’re witnessing in Ontario now.

We have a lot of potential and resources.
Cutting out all the crap policies will be key after Justin gets the boot.
-be proud of natural resources and chop all carbon taxes
-enforce border crossing laws
-approve pipelines
-cut out all identity gender politics
-cut useless services and wasting tax dollars
