We shouldn’t be buying any conflict oil but we can’t cross provincial borders with pipelines unfortunately.....Thanks to the foreign funded eco-terrorists.

Ironically BC environmentalists are addicted to fossil fuels and have recently approved a jet fuel pipeline to come in from Washington State.

Good point, but thank goodness we are importing less than a tenth of what the US is from such sources hey? Unlike the tale Parsley was trying to spin that the "good" US was exporting oil meanwhile the "bad" Canada was importing middle eastern oil.

World oil trade is like the Canada USA beef trade. It’s all integrated to some degree cause not all oil is equal. Some is best suited for gasoline, some diesel, some asphalt, or petrochemicals. You could soldier on and make gasoline from a heavy oil best suited for diesel and asphalt but it’s probably cheaper to use light oil. My local oil makes decent asphalt, diesel and jet fuel. Other oil fields are full of enough wax that diesel from it would be a disaster. It’s like Brahma beef from Australia and British beef from north of the mason Dixon line.

The east imports oil and the west exports, they say its cheaper . Numbers sort of balance.
