I am not sure what all the worry is about myself included. We all paid big bucks for the blue painted super seeds that yield no matter drought, flooding, hot or cold.

Remember last year it was genetics!

Wet either. I threw mine in the bush after two years of n deficiency.

Blue canola is not the biggest issue in this area.
Some that was seeded regular time and survived the hail

Some that was re-seeded prior to the hail due to insect damage.

Wheat is actually looking pretty good in this area apart from this winter stuff.

Looking pretty dismal around here, but we're supposed to be oh so happy that SF3 got his "just in time" rain to "rescue" his lush crops.

Been wondering grass, how has your gray and pasture fared. Has It rebounded after that storm?

Pasture is starting to come back now, hay is gone but it's starting to grow from the bottom so we will likely get a "second cut" crop. Triticale is starting to head out, won't make a foot high. Corn bounced back surprisingly but so did a fresh flush of weeds. Only thing that will turn things around for us is substantial rain and there is no indication of any coming.

Interesting, I think I’ll keep doing an extra pass to put on NH3 ahead of time.

canola around my area looks really good, had excellent catch, but no rain all june. fields are now wilting in the afternoons, and its short, 30% flowered, suffering heat blast too. looks like 50 bpa but wont do more than 28 this year. no one spraying fungicides on anything, that is very rare in s. mb.

sure works well here in the swamp . we always juice all the oats, barley , wheat and canary fields in fall . we didn't do one field because we were seeding borage there . even on this dry spring it would not dry . muddled it in end of May , got 2.5" rain 3 days after and it was under water , had to reseed half of it . everything else worked like a garden in early. may

Only 1 farm is still true zero tillers here. They have the latest and greatest BG ..and yes the only ones with yellow streaks in their fields.

That’s pretty brutal. The grass is green here but headed out early and short due to the heat and dryness. Half the poplars are brown from caterpillars stripping them clean. Things are ok for now but if the rain doesn’t show up soon then it’ll get interesting and not in a good way.
