    Weather forecasting

Prime reason why even 2-5 day forecasting needs massive improvements. Guys have been spraying in awful conditions up till yesterday. Putting everyone around at risk , yet yesterday was good , with a forecast of 40k winds all day , never happened. Yet they call for 20K ands it’s 40 to 60.
    Are they that fukin incompetent???
Tonight is perfect, but not forecasted again . By far the worst is what we pay huge tax’s for ... environment Canada !!

Agree 100%. Guys spraying in the wind cause it’s suppose to rain and no rain. Forecasts are worse than 30 years ago. David Philips and his crew are useless. More technology leads to less brain functionality.

Agreed totally. Forecast is horrible and it means a great deal of money lost for many reasons. If you knew you'd get 5 inches of rain in 2 days would you seed Etc etc.
But the other part of your complaint is also very true. A wrong forecast doesn't give anyone the right to be spraying in 50 to 70 km winds like some of the neighbors have been. Seeing damages from miles away. There needs desperately to be a new laws for spraying above acceptable wind speeds. More and more farmers the new business type are ass holes on this issue don't give a shit about anyone else and the thing is with the modern equipment it can get done without wrecking others crops.

Bahaha, time is money! Drives me nuts. Every year we got one or two guys, that cook off a patch of the neighbors, or even their own. Gotta getter done! Not overly difficult to leave a swath or two if the wind isn't cooperating and coming back later. When time is money, there's no way you'd leave it though.

Personal favorite is the claim of no/ low drift... yeah, especially at 10+mph into an already 20-30mph headwind when your booms are 3ft or more off the ground, and nozzles are jamming 70+psi

Another personal favorite is "that guy" who blows the fenceline and headlands out. We've all got a neighbor who's "that guy". That pesky grass in the headland or fenceline that keeps the drift back.

        Time is money though...

they spend more time and effort renaming environment Canada to include the term climate change. what a completely usesless organization. Cant predict the weather 3 days out but they can forecast climate change effects 100 years out. USA weather service hands down better.
