    pipeline

Yahoo we own a 4.5 billion $ pipeline and, the right to build another, kinder Morgan must be smiling all the way to the bank.
We will be supporting good paying jobs for the next 10yrs paid buy the taxpayer and we still have to deal with environmentalists and natives and BC.
Any bets on how much this is going to cost in the end. I think we could have built a refinery and saved money.

On a positive note. The best scenario would be if the feds build a pipeline each direction. Think JT can pull that off? Wouldn’t that be the cat’s meow?

Peter Lougheed (the only smart Conservative) must be Rolling in his Grave
He said before he died that we Couldn't keep expanding the oil sands for Raw product Export
The only way we could make money for Canada was to export finished product.

Yes when I heard horigan say bc would be interested if a refinery was built so we would ship upgraded bitchimum and keep jobs and higher royalties home in Canada.
That could have worked if we had a partnership with BC but I guess that dream is gone now.

Maybe if the feds have some skin in the game, they’ll actually push some buttons.

The possibility exists that the existing pipeline was bought to shut it down. I would not put it past the feds to say that that is what the electorate wants, and it is the right thing to do to stop climate change.

Oh heaven forbid! But wait and see....not sure if nationalizing infrastructure will play well in investment circles? Could give us a thumbs down. Guess both opposition parties against the idea. NDP should be happy? Except brainwashed by goofy CLIMATE CHANGE! Scheer would have to say F*CK BC to get votes. Whoo Hoo like Farma says we bought a pipeline....

Forget about the multi-billions of tax dollars needlessly squandered, forget about the long term uncertainty for foreign investment, forget about the damage to federal provincial relations - the most frightening part of this deal is what didn't happen. Even the Libs aren't dumb enough to have wanted this outcome. Morneau may be an arrogant entitled prick but he's also one of the brightest lights in a dim bulb Cabinet. He knows this is bad but evidently it was their least awful option. That means that nobody - not only Kinder Morgan but nobody else that the feds tried to unload this on was willing to risk shareholder money on an energy project in Canada.

                    We are so incredibly screwed.
