There's definitely enough Canada geese around. They can sure do alot of damage to an establishing crop. They're quite the grazers... Grassfarmer should let them graze with his cattle, then he could slaughter them and sell all natural grass fed gooses. Maybe A&W could make hamburgers out of them...all natural grass fed, no hormones, no antibiotics.....market the burger with a patriotic angle...

We have a lake beside one quarter and the geese last year cleaned close to 60 acres off around it. It was a sick sight.

Two seasons early spring and fall.

No thanks, we are concentrating on developing an alfalfa-fed elk product. Had 60 of them grazing this spring. Having challenges getting them fence trained.

Cold late spring? Or new age geese that think having goslings cramps their lifestyle?

When there were more farms, more young boys/men per farm, we could keep the wildlife at bay. Tables have turned. Not as many people per section, guns aren’t at the ready as much on the rear window rack, the snowmobiles don’t run from after school until dark as much, nature has partially reclaimed the prairie.

The Heftty Bros on AgPhd radio were asked about geese the other day. They said many of the farms in South Dakota near their farm lay out corn (grain) in fence rows. It attracts the geese and greatly cuts down on in crop feeding.
